Despite the title, this is not a Brazilian album. The title song is Milton Nascimento's "Conçao do Sal" but other than Deodato's arranging and keyboard contributions and Airto Moreira on percussion, it's primarily a Turrentine date. It is one of his most melodic, as all of these have melodies that stick with you. Kudu favorite Eric Gale appears on guitar. Creed Taylor does a great job of keeping one of Turrentine's feet in jazz and the other in accessibility here (thanks to the melodic approach).

Definintely a winner, and one that I've returned to quite a bit.
 
Yeah, that one's not a bad listen (man, the electric piano on these CTIs is starting to wear me out).
