Surround Sound

I was just wondering what would the Carpenters sound like in 7.1 Surround Sound. Would they sound better or worse? Dolby makes a product called Dolby Pro Logic IIX that converts any stereo source in 6.1 or 5.1 surround sound. It would be interesting to know!

UPDATE: I have learned that the vocals would be placed in the center channels and the sounds would be scattered around. Also the sound would not sound real and colored.

I find that by listening to K@R in surround breaks up the overdubs and creates a whole new listening experience. Lotsa fun me thinks!

One more thing...WITHOUT A SONG sounds as tho you're in a cathedral in surround and the oldies medley from NOW @ THEN is also alot of fun aurally.
