  2. It was a Grammy "results" show that really hooked me on the Tijuana Brass. I'd heard their stuff on radio and always gravitated towards instrumentals and that show just cemented them forever in my brain. That started my record-buying spree with any funds I could muster, and when Christmas came around that year, my parents filled in all the rest of what was then available.
