As I did not see an "official review" thread for this Single,
and, I have been listening to the LP Made In America,
I felt this song makes a nice topic for separate discussion.

For instance, here is Billboard's Adult contemporary List for Late 1981:
I Don't Need You, Kenny Rogers
Touch Me When We're Dancing, Carpenters
Endless Love, Diana Ross & Lionel Richie
Arthur's Theme, Christopher Cross
Share Your Love With Me, Kenny Rogers
Here I Am, Air Supply
The Old Songs, Barry Manilow
Yesterday's Songs, Neil Diamond.

Stacked against their contemporaries-of-the-day,
it really is an enigma--
Why this Single failed to chart higher, and remain longer when it did chart.

Such unbridled excitement upon hearing a new Carpenters' single on the radio!
I remember thinking at the time:
It's at #16, great!
Then the following week, hmmm, still at #16. It's got to go up...
Bottom line: Like others, this song should have been a bigger hit, but it's a great single nonetheless!

HA! Didn't see this thread until just now, but it was already on the agenda! The single review along with the others related to the Made In America album are now "stickied" to the top of the forum! :)
