Vintage record player from Lirpa Labs

I found this posted online from the April 1978 issue of the now defunct Audio Magazine. The late Professor Lirpa had some truly original designs, and this was one of them, from the hallowed walls (or sticky carpeting) of Lirpa Labs.

A more recent product from 2011 was this soundbar, by Prof. Lirpa's third cousin, twice removed, Dr. Loof Lirpa. Pretty phenomenal actually.

Well there’s a “new” version out that pushes the needle along, rather than the traditional drag method.
