I recently stumbled upon this cool website, “Who Sampled?" that lists artists and provides audio of, 1.) who sampled a song(s) of that particular artist and/or 2.) who covered a song(s) of that particular artist. Here’s the link. It’s great fun.
I was surprised at how many hip-hop artists have sampled Karen and Richard. Listening to the clips makes me wonder what Richard thinks, and I recall a print interview with Karen, back in the mid-1970’s, where it was noted that Gene Simmons of Kiss was a fan. I recall her expressing pleasant surprise.
