Why wasn't (Want You) Back In My Life Again a bigger hit?

Karen??? I can't think of a real "reinvention" of hers apart of the solo album...

And that didn't even count really since it wasn't released to the public when she was still alive.

And hovering above it all was that image of angels sprinkling moondust and birds suddenly appearing.

Harry

Which, ironically, was imagery that worked quite well for Stevie Nicks.

It's all in how you phrase and package it.

I think it wasn't just the one song, it was the whole image and songs like "Please Mr. Postman" (which I always liked, but they certainly weren't cutting edge). Whoever pointed out that most artists have a shorter shelf-life on the charts (5-7 years if you're really fortunate) was right as well....someone once told me the four stages of show business, which is funny and sad at the same time and dead on right (feel free to substitute any name. I'll use Lady Gaga for no particular reason):

1) Who's Lady Gaga
2) Get me Lady Gaga
3) Get me a young Lady Gaga
4) Who's Lady Gaga

I don't care who you are - that's how it works.......
