this was so interesting!! he analyzes that her voice was almost speak singing. such a good way of describing why she was so clear. many singers, over sing. she simply told the story. that's not to say there wasn't major work involved or that it was easy, but the idea that it sat just where her speaking voice was is what made it so natural.
