Yes, this album has been discussed--twice!

However, The Dude and Sounds...And Stuff Like That probably not being true Jazz albums haven't been reviewed...

So I'm holding out for those two LP's of Jones' final works for A&M becoming future entries... As for this album, Roots is Q's departure from the norm...

Not at all as Jazz-oriented as his earlier works and it's just too wobbly, hollow and feeble even as a soundtrack for its own sake...

For better examples of Quincy's TV, or in this case, film scores, get stuff like Cactus Flower, "$" and McKenna's Gold and see what, in that capacity he really can do...
