The remixed album version of Calling Occupants was played today in full on the Ken Bruce Show, BBC Radio 2. Ken's description at the end of the song was: 'the Carpenters sounding over blown, but pleasant to listen to'
This remark made me chuckle, I had goose bumps from beginning to end of this song, the vocal arrangement for Karen's voice is gorgeous, and as for Peter Knight's orchestral arrangement, it's fantastic.
It made my day hearing 'Occupants' played on the radio, it sounded more than pleasant to me, especially when you think it was recorded 34 years ago!
