Co-op record production?

Let's face it. There's no one out there that does it as well as Sergio Mendes and Brasil 2004. I would do anything for a new CD, esp. with his current group, songs, etc. If you heard him in NY this Nov and last Nov. you would agree. Any way a group of us could co-op a production deal with him? My brother-in law is a sound engineer. He said you could do a professional quality live CD for way under 10K. I don't even care about profit... it would be worth it just to have a new CD.

Sergio as I understand, is now signed with A&M (for the 3rd time), and has a new album coming out soon.

Thank you. I asked him last year when he was in NY and he said "I'm working on it". It's just that the cost of recording high-quality stuff is so affordable, I figured, why not? I'll be looking forward to hearing the new CD. Even if he just did his nightclub act, I'd be happy.
