The passing of Evel Knievel reminded me to shuffle through that box of old, obscure A&M label 45s. I found # 933 (2:50):

"Evil, Evil, Evel Knievel" by Eddie Carr and the Navajos, written and produced by John Herring and arranged by Eddie Bradford.

The flip side is an instrumental, "What Have I Got of My Own?."

Knievel was best known for his disasterous attempt to jump the Snake River on motorcycle in 1974 and another spectacular crash at Caeser's Palace. He broke over 40 bones during his life.

He died Friday in Clearwater, FL, or pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis at age 69.
