An interesting one-hour show on LinkTV (DirectTV channel 375, Dish Channel 9410), April 3rd & 4th, 8:30 PM/2:30 AM EDT - the 'history' of the Girl From Ipanema. Interviews with the girl (now middle-aged lady) who inspired the song, A. C. Jobim's son & grandson, Gilberto Gil, (here comes the Sergio tie-in....) Sebastian Neto, and many others. Even has Bebel Gilberto & her mom Miuchu sing a (very) short verse of Joao's song. Interestingly, the two primary living performers of that famous song (Joao & Astrud) are not among the participants.
