Our favorite guitarist John Pisano is featured in the November edition of Down Beat magazine, and does a workshop thing towards the back. It's a Master Class called "Comprehending Comping". He defines the difference between playing rhythm and comping, and shows various chord substitutes for different chord progressions. Interesting stuff.
There is also a full page ad for Easman strings that has John's photo all over it, with a smaller shot of him when he was 4-years old with his first guitar.
