Karen Carpenter reference in new CD by Jann Arden

Canadian recording artist Jann Arden has mentioned yet again her inspiration of Karen Carpenter in her newest CD just released called "Free". Jann has mentioned Karen before on alot of her past releases and even recorded her version of Solitaire which reminds me alot of Richard's arrangement.

Inside her new CD "Free" the liner notes under Thanks...read this:

I have Jann's album and while her version of Solitaire is pretty good, nothing matches Karen's version.

Speaking of which, Los Angeles has a new radio station - 1260 on the AM dial - where they play a lot of music from 'yesterday' - a big mix of stuff, and while I don't listen to it all of the time - too used to FM now - when I do they always play something from the Carpenters. This morning was Solitaire.
