I wonder if anyone saw the segment on BBC2 last night featuring Karen. The programme was called Diet Junkies and is a series about the diet industry and how huge it has become over the past 50 years.
Karen was shown singing Rainy Days and Mondays and later I Need to be in Love, whilst the commentary talked of how she brought anorexia to the public's attention for the first time. Jackie Clunes 'The Voice of Karen' discussed her use of thyroid pills and how well publicised her death was, whilst the narration talked of her use of laxatives and hiding food.
The part with Karen lasted for about 2 minutes and was a bright point in an otherwise rather disturbing and dark programme about the cynical dieting industry. I managed to get it on DVD but does anyone have any clue how to make it available to see online?
