I just received a killer guitar CD in the mail by Larry Carlton and Steve Lukather (of Toto fame) called No Substitutions, which was recorded live in Osaka, Japan a couple of years ago. This is the first I've heard Lukather outside of Toto, so this was a real eye-opener! I've been rather disappointed by some of Carlton's albums the past few years - way too much of that smooooothy stuff, but he kicks it in here. Just your basic jam session, including a raucous version of "All Blues".
