The song is the REAL THING, from the album SERGIO MENDES & THE NEW BRASIL 77 on Elektra records released in may 1977.
The song is composed by Stevie Wonder, who actually played keyboards on this track the another self-penned song (Love City) on the album.
Steve Gadd on drums and Anthony Jackson, bass with additional help on synthesizer by Dave Grusin and Michael Sembello on guitars, Steve Forman and Laudir Soares de Oliveira on percussion.

Nice song, inspite of the fact that the song is 27 years old it's still
fresh these days.

Stevie and Marietta Waters are the lead singers of "The Real Thing," and they really shine! I love it when Marietta says, "...back now..." in the middle of the song, almost as if they're dancing in the studio...excellent!!
