New Christine McVie album

Fleetwood Mac fans: There is a new solo album by Christine McVie out. Title is IN THE MEANTIME.

It's basically a collaboration with her newphew, Dan Perfect. He plays guitar, writes some of the songs (and liner notes) and coproduces.

It's nice pop music of course, but not in league with her great Fleetwood Mac material. Part of the problem is the writing, but part of it is production as well. There's just not much on it that's memorable or "sticks to the ribs."

Her voice is as awesome as ever though!

I liked her self-titled 1984 album and her Mac tracks. Never have heard the "Legendary Christine Perfect" album though.

I thought about getting this new one but the sound clips didn't exactly grab my attention either...might be a good one to find a used copy of in a few months.

I heard the "Legendary" album when it was reissued during the Mac heyday in the '70s. It was nothing to shout about...I listened to it once and put it in the "used" bin.
