The great classical French composer from the 20th. century?

NO!
In fact, FREDDIE RAVEL the touring second-keyboardist and musical director of Sergio's group at the end of the 80's - beginning of the 90's.

Freddie Ravel played along with Dori Caymmi, Kevyn Lettau, James East, Vinnie, d'Onofrio, Gracinha, Michael Shapiro aqnd Carol Rogers in Sergio's group.

His first CD was released in 1990 by Verve-Forecast Japan with collaboriations from husband and wife MARRIETTA WATERS and ALAN DIAZ (both members BRASIL 88 ).

Ravel never ever played on a record by Sergio, b.t.w. Bill Brendle is the only touring-keyboardist in fact who made it on a record with Sergio (OCEANO, 1996).

After his stint with Sergio he made a nice career playing and arranging with EARTH WIND AND FIRE, DORI CAYMMI and ALL JAREAU.

What a connections!

Up till now RAVEL made thre recordings on is own!

Yutaka Yokokura, who served as Sergio's musical director around the time of Brasileiro, did record with Sergio on several different occasions. Sergio arranged and produced the song "Solitaire" on a Yutaka album and has appeared on Kevyn Lettau recordings as well.

Indeed, Bill Brendle is a sensational artist and a great guy. He has a long and varied career. He and Sergio make a good pair onstage and in the studio. It's obvious they like to work with one another.
