Unsung Karen's Theme ?

Correct me if I am wrong, but Richard composed and arranged the melody of so many of the Carpenters best hits with John Bettis as the lyricist. If I were as talented as John Bettis, it would be impossible for me to not put words to Karen's Theme...
Does anyone think John did and has the lyrics tucked away.... ?
I would love to hear the unsung Karen's Theme, maybe by one of Karen's neices or her nephew.

You know, I never even thought of that... But would be interested to hear it if it's true. It would be very touching.

You have to remember that "Karen's Theme" was written for a movie soundtrack. Usually these are just mood pieces that are meant to be played when you want the viewer to focus on a certain character. If you look at the 2002 soundtrack Cd to "Enterprise", there is an "Archer's Theme" that has a very American flare to it, and when you see Archer in the TV show, most of the time you'll hear his theme being played when he enters.
