Yep, I read about this earlier today--the Sony "rootkit" leaves a door open for virus writers to hide the files and slip them in unnoticed under the radar of the virus protection programs. Nasty stuff!

Some good news on this subject. Sony has suspended for now this software.

I can't believe that a company with the resources that Sony/BMG has would be so stupid as to unleash a fiasco such as this. Surely, SOMEBODY at the company had to raise a red flag, or at least try to...

Now, Sony faces a bunch of lawsuits, a PR nightmare, and the entire recordintg industry looks like a bunch of greedy stooges without regard for the rights and well-being of their customers.

Nobody has the right to get into my computer but me!
