A "New" Old Photo

I have done an image search on Sergio Mendes via Yahoo! and I found a "new" photo of Sergio & Brasil 66. in the photo it looks like Sergio, Lani, Karen, Rubens, Sebastiaio, Laudir, & Claudio.

This particular photo looks like it was taken right after Dom Um Romao had left Brasil 66 which was in the summer of 1970.

None of them look very happy. Karen is in that Expo'70 outfit.

I've had a couple of copies of this in my collection for many years. Just gave a copy to another avid Mendes fan a while back, as a matter of fact. It's true, none of them look too particularly happy here. Bad day? Trying to make a statement? Who knows.

It was close to the end, that's for sure. Whatever the case, an interesting photo all the same.
