The "Only Mangione I really LIKED"...! maybe 'cause it is the ONLY album different from the others Chuck has done...

"Mainsqueeze" got played by Mangione at his concert, "prelude'd", of course by "Doin' Everything With You"... Wonder if all his Band Members (my favorite N.Y. Musicians) on this album are still collecting Royalties for helping Chuck with writing it...?

I remember A LOT of "Days After Our First Night..."... --That song and probably a lott'a others ('Specially "Feels So Good") by Mangione got played IONS AGO on the #1 EZ-List'nin' Station here in the Detroit, Michigan-area, WJOI (Double-U-Joy)...!

This is probably the Mangione album I play the most. I think it's much better than Feels So Good. This is the first album Mangione ever did that had overdubs in it. The songwriting is pretty good on this disc, and Mangione plays an outstanding solo on the gorgeous "If You Know Me Any Longer Than Tomorrow", my favorite tune on this album. Another nifty gem is the exciting, Latin-tinged "I Get Crazy", with some hip horns backing up the band. Another beautiful ballad is "Doin' Everything With You", followed by the impromptu jam title tune. You certainly can't go wrong with this rhythm section, especially Steve Gadd on drums. The only song I didn't care for was "Love The Feelin'". But other than that this is a great album. Too bad it's an out-of-print CD. 4 stars.

Good thing I bought the CD for $11.99 when it came out in the 80's. Bellavia is another OOP CD which fetches prices close to $200 on eBay. Good thing I had a clean vinyl version to make my own CD!
