FIRE & WATER is Free's breakthrough album, featuring the 1970 hit "All Right Now" (# 4), which remains a staple of F.M. radio to this very day.

Side One: Fire & Water 3:41/ Oh I Wept 4:24/ Remember 4:20/ Heavy Load 5:17.
Side Two: Mr. Big 5:52/ Don't Say You Love Me 5:57/ All Right Now 5:30.

Produced by Free and John Kelly/ all songs published by Irving Music Inc. BMI

Reissued as SP/CD 3126.

Of course, my preference with respect to "All Right Now" is the 4:14 single edit which, I.I.N.M., is mixed somewhat differently from the LP version and has a fadeout for the close as opposed to the "cold close" on the LP. The 45, issued on #1206 with no reference to either the LP or the song's producers (likewise, no producer's credits or album source reference for the B-side, the instrumental "Mouthful of Grass" -- from their self-titled second LP, SP-4204 -- either), was another of A&M's HAECO-CSG releases. One of these days I hope to present the label thereof.
