Art Johnson lives and works in San Diego now, among other things, fronting a band called "The Cool Club" that plays Django Reinhardt music - didn't know he was involved with Weisberg.....

HURTwood Edge is RIGHT! But a Starring Item, or a Front Runner, in comparison of the rest of Tim's catalog of what I consider 'Also-Rans'...

Still, it's rather just as Miserable as it is Musical and enough that I'm not suprised my old copy is languishing at that same record store I traded it in at, in the Jazz Section, still waiting to sell; originally found it in a Rock Section at the store I originally bought it at, quite suprisingly...

It is Mr. Weissberg's most-listenable work as far as the Material, Arrangements, and especially, the Musicians go... (Witness, yet, another appearance by New York Session Guitarist David Spinozza on a West Coast/A&M Recording Studios Recording; a wonder how a lot he played there, but didn't stay there...)

Though I still don't feel like it desreves more than Two... --That's all I seem to be up to giving it...

This is one of the better Tim Weisberg albums I've heard. He gets to display some pretty decent chops here, especially on tunes like "Tibetan Silver", "Tyme Cube" and "Our Thing" which gets into a nice, funky groove. The rhythm section is much stronger than on his past albums, which makes this a more pleasurable listen. My favorite tune is "Ojai", which has a slight Baja feel to it. Not too bad. 3 stars.
