Typical obligatory Live effort with average material and delivery...

Well, song-selection could be better; not quite a career too notable for its repetoire, but OK, considering his following has been "underground", at most...

Glad the cover is now easier to see...

Here's a better LP image from the AMG site...

Well I'm glad they finally got an image for this. This was one of the harder ones to find (and I still have a few holes here and there to fill). I'll upload this and replace the grainy one as soon as I get my ftp program loaded onto my new laptop here. I still have all the connections from Rudy embedded.

and look for some other goodies to be uploaded, too!

This album is about as soft as you can get, which is not good for a live album. I usually enjoy listening to live performances, because most bands can light a fire under themselves, but not here. This seems to be made for the wine-and-cheese crowd or for those who enjoy herbal relaxation. It's not that the songs are bad, it's just that they seem to just be going through the motions. Guitarist Todd Robinson tries to get things going on songs as "Do Dah" and "Rainbow City", but everything else gets stagnant. I really didn't see the point in the never-ending flute solo of "Your Smiling Eyes". The only song of real interest is the Latin-tinged "Castile". Other than that, this album should be played as background Muzak in a dentist's office. 2 stars.
