Here is a nifty Brazilian medley by Astrud. Whereas, in Brazil--Elis Regina was the voice of Brazilian music, overseas Astrud is the voice that people associate with Brazilian music. Thanks of course to that one remarkable vocal produced by Creed Taylor--"The Girl From Ipanema".

Her (sadly late) MD Kimson Plaut was a friend of mine. I highly recommend his album Ubatuba, which doesn't seem to have a YouTube presence.

Nice to hear some of the the Tide arrangement elements of Ipanema in there. Definitely a tip of the Tam o'shanter to Sullivan for having Astrud sing 98% of her medley in Portuguese.
