May, 2003: After Rumbo Recorders celebrated it's 23rd year in the recording business, Toni & Daryl decided to sell the legendary studio. The studio has been purchased, and the new owners have requested to retain the business name, 'Rumbo Recorders'. Toni and Daryl wish to first thank all those that have made Rumbo what it is today, especially Rumbo's dedicated studio manager for more than a decade, Ms. Vicky Smith... and they also wish all the best for the new, proud owners of Rumbo, and hope that the tradition of excellence is maintained and perhaps even exceeded with the advent of this 'passing of the baton'. Yes, through the years, Rumbo Recorders has become a respected, trusted recording facility and has firmly established itself as a major creative force in the Southern California-based recording industry. May the legend live on.

Ahh! Rumbo. Right around the corner from where I grew up. Aside from the Captain & Tennille, at least one other A&M act has recorded there: Oingo Boingo!

with fond memories of the Rumbo building and its (appropriate) nautical theme...

Had Studio become too time consuming or a financial drain ?

Did Toni Tennille Record most of her Solo sets at Rumbo

Are they still occasionally performing live in USA?
