The '4801-4900' series spans from 1980 through part of 1982, with the 4900 series continuing until 1984 (SP 5000 - Joe Jackson' BODY & SOUL). The consecutive series that began in 1962 ends in 1992 with #5403 (Gin Blossoms' NEW MISERABLE EXPERIENCE). Afterwards, a new series begins with '0000' (Carpenters' box set) and goes up through #1090 or so, roughly mid-1996. The Universal label catalog numbers that follow come from out of nowhere as far as I can see.

We got a long way to go.
