Lead singer of Hot Chocolate, Errol Brown has died of liver cancer at 71 years old. Hot Chocolate first song was on the Beatles Apple Records label in 1969, doing the remake of John Lennon's "Give Peace A Chance". Errol wrote for April Wine "You Could Have Been A Lady" (Big Tree) back in April of 1972 as well as The Stories # 1 hit in September of 1973 "Brother Louie" (Kama Sutra) which Hot Chocolate also recorded for 1974 "Cicero Park" album. Hot Chocolate's first Top 40 hit was "Emma" in 1975 but it wasn't until early 1976 when the song "You Sexy Thing" went to # 3. They also did "Disco Queen", "So You Win Again" & their last Top 40 hit "Every 1's A Winner" in early 1979. Hot Chocolate disbanded in 1986. Matt Clark Sanford, MI
