I was looking through Craig Rosen's book, "The Billboard Book Of #1 Albums" and under the entry for George Harrison's "Living In The Material World" there's a picture of him wearing a t-shirt with a big A&M logo on it. I wonder if he got the shirt from Billy Preston...
George's Dark Horse label was distributed for a short time by A&M Records. It was at A&M that George met his future wife Olivia. She was an employee there and now manages George's estate with their son Dhani.
George also dedicated a song to "Herbie Alpert" on his Thirty Three and a Third album, "Learning How To Love."
