Music is life
Hey guys (and girls),

I was looking at www.gemm.com for Herb Alpert cds, and after scrolling down past $198 copies of The Beat Of The Brass, I came upon a seller that had Beat Of The Brass, Going Places, The Lonely Bull, Volume 2, What Now My Love, and Whipped Cream.

All at the astounding price of $10.34 each.

Needless to say, I was floored. After picking my tongue off the ground, I clicked on the link and discovered that they were not original cds, but just cd-rs.

So I am in a bit of a quandry. While I disagree with the selling of cd-r of copyrighted work.....I have wanted a cd of WNML for so long!! Same with BOTB and Going places....and they ARE out of print..

My question is, am I a bad person for wanting to get one (or more) of these cds? All I know is that my faith that reissues are coming is waning...

Gemm does not allow the sale of CD-Rs. Those probably won't be available long.

Larry Levine (Herb's engineer) was going over Herb's masters, as reported last year in Billboard. I think reissues will happen.
