UK ITV TV Channel presented Yuletide TV Special "Christmas Mania " on Saturday 11/12/04 @ 22:00 hrs .....
Donny Osmond was the surprise host ( He has Universal contract & several TV -advertised releases to date ....) with Roy Wood making a rare TV appearance with 1973 "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" -great uptempo festive song -perhaps few agree with the title lyrics ....
There were covers of Christmas classics plus some original jazzy songs -a reasonable selection ....just a few minutes later there was a too brief clip of Karen performing White Christmas with Bruce Forsyth from 1978 UK Christmas Eve TV Special .....wonderful to hear & see Karen with this classic again ...the full length footage remains one of Karen's finest musical performances ...ever
Shame more footage & Karen's performance of classic Merry Christmas Darling was not shown ....certainly would have made up for UK group Westlife 's appalling poor performance of White Christmas as finale ....lack of life is more like their title these days ....only seeing Karen made up for this terrible travesty ....
