"The Lonely Bull" was a hit in the Los Angeles area when it came out. As it faded from the charts, I found (and bought) my copy (with the light brown label) for ten cents in a cut-out box. But shortly after that, something happened. The song was discovered nationally, and became an even bigger hit than it was before! The "Lonely Bull" LP, then the other hit records, followed. For a while you couldn't turn on your radio or TV without hearing the Tijuana Brass. "Mexican Shuffle" became the soundtrack for an ad for Teaberry Gum (retitled "The Teaberry Shuffle"). It seems each album was more popular than the one before! Herb really gave the Beatles a good run for their money.
