The 'El' label of the United Kingdom has reissued THE WOZARD OF IZ (A&M SP 4156) on CD.

June 24, 2008 was the release date, and the catalog number is "145." This 1968 take-off of the childrens' classic featured the late Mort Garson's synthesizers with lyrics by Jacques Wilson, along with vocals by Suzie Jane Hokum.

"I've Been Over the Rainbow" and "Big Sur" were added to youtube recently.

Glad to see this "All Synthesizer Wizardry" getting reissued; it's really about time... This is what would give way to experimental electronics artists like Paul Beaver & Bernie Krause... All that's needed is the B-Side of THE WOZARD OF IZ '45', ZI FO DRAZOW EHT...

And maybe it would be nice to see Electronic Hair Pieces and Garson's Astrological Series get reissued, too...

Thought I would mention that like Nancy Sinatra, Suzie Jane Hokum made a couple of '45's with Lee Hazelwood... Maybe that explains confusion that the two are mistakenly said to be 'one and the same'...

There is also one song by Lee entitled "Suzie Jane Is Back In Town"...
