working at a radio station, i've collected over the
years tunes that clearly were not intended to
be "xmas music" but none-the-less have a xmasy
feel to 'em...couple of examples:

HA's "aria" on fandango
BMB's "picasso summer"
horst jankowski "highway at night" (or something)

obvisouly, this is really subjective...
never-the-less, any youze guys got any
favorite examples?...thanx...---jingle stolf---

I like Vangelis' OPERA SAUVAGE...even though "Hymne" has been a little overplayed, the rest of the album has a celebratory feel to it that reminds me of some classic Chrstmas music, like Peer Gynt, Nutcracker, et. al. I can see Christ's birth, life and resurrection in the music; even if it wasn't intended to be a spiritual piece, it can be thought of that way, at least to me...I also like the two themes from CHARIOTS OF FIRE...Eric and Abraham, I believe...they have that same "feel".

For some reason, Gershwin's RHAPSODY IN BLUE also seems kinda Christmasy....everybody probably thinks I'm nuts....
