For Paul Desmond this was an unusual group, and a bit "busy" having two guitarists--one accompanying throughout, and another a soloist. Not quite the same as the understated Jim Hall who appeared on a handful of his albums.

"Take Ten" is the obvious follow-up to the hit single "Take Five" and this is his second rendition of it on record--the first was the title track of an RCA record from a few years prior.

My Favorite track on this one is "Was A Sunny Day" the Latin beat on it reminds me a bit of the Brubeck Album "Bossa Nova USA" ( one of my most favorite Brubeck albums ever)
