I thought some of you might enjoy seeing this old poster I just found for the Frishberg concert I produced in Portland several years ago. This was one of his last big public performances, we had overflow crowds and Dave graced me by agreeing to my request to play "Bill" from Schoolhouse Rock, which he told me he *never* did for people generally.
The funniest anecdote of the night was Dave playing piano to illustrate an interchange he had had, as he talked about pitching a song to a NYC publisher. He started out pretty "normally" playing something like I-vi-ii, but then went to something a bit unusual like bIII7, at which point the publisher screamed, "Stop! That's where you lose people!"
