A diversion from Christmas shopping into the used disc racks netted the discovery of a 2011 self titled album by Tom Faia, a name I recognized right away. The music is a generous 15 track set of rock, country, blues and Americana.
In the late '60s Tommy Faia and the True Blue Facts released three 45s on A&M: "I'm Back" & "Who's Got the Right" (#900), "Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain" & "The Boy I Left Behind" (#945) and "You've Got My Soul" & "An Exception to the Rule" (#983). Up until now I was unaware he's still active in music.
The link below gives details of his time as a performer and songwriter at A&M as well as later credits. In addition to his website (linked to the article) he maintains a fan page on Facebook. He continues to record and tour, primarily along the West Coast.
