Hi again everyone,
I was in Manila last April, and again just last week. On both those occasions, over the radio, the RC song "Calling Your Name Again" was played.
Actually, the Carpenters music is very big in the Philippines - Lea Salonga mentioned in one of her concerts that she is full of admiration of their music (and Karen's singing), and their songs are constantly being covered by many artistes such as Lea who did a medley of their songs. Another 2 popular Philippino singers - Martin Nievera and Regine Velasquez, did songs like You, Love Me For What I Am and One Love.
The Carpenters' appeal truly spans across the globe!
