I'm curious about the two sessions for 'The Lonely Bull'. The first, on 29 Oct 1962 (along with Acapulco 1922, The Story of an Evergreen and Little White Lies) has to be the original single. So what happened to the different recording on 2nd Jan 1963? It wasn't for A&M - it was for Kapp; Dudley King co-aranged with Herb and I notice that Dave Alpert played on that session, too. Puzzling....

Perhaps that second session was the backing track for the Jack Jones single version (?)

When you say, "original single", are you meaning the original "Lonely Bull" single or the original "Story of an Evergreen" single (excuse me I realize this is clear to those "in the know"). There's not much on the Kenjolaires that I can find in the forum, but I did turn up this link in a Google search:

Sorry, Dostros - I meant "The Lonely Bull". That was the only track to appear to be recorded at two different sessions. Harry is absolutely right that the second session listed was for the Jack Jones single, since that is also shown as having an orchestra "Directed by Herb Alpert".
