A&M on the intercom

We went out to breakfast this morning at a local diner. While ordering our French toast, I heard the familiar strains of Herb Alpert's "Rise" playing over the diner's piped in music. I thought it was appropriate at that early hour of the day. Then a short time later, we could hear "Please Mr. Postman" by Carpenters playing. It's not that often that you get to hear two old A&M favorites while out and about, so I thought I'd note it here.

I'll need to find some kind of A&M connection today: I had the Doobies on for awhile, followed by Steely Dan, Stevie Ray, AC/DC, another Steely Dan, and now Pat Metheny Group's We Live Here to wind down. The girls got baked outside today, and I"m dirty and tired. Wrapped off the day with some baby-back ribs. Aaaaah...
