This is not neccesarily a jazz album per se, but this is some pretty nice music. I always loved what Kellaway did with this Cello Quartet. Kind of a hip chamber music thing. There is some improvisation here and there. My favorite track is "Mostly On A 'D' String", where Emil Richards turns in a great marimba solo, and everybody gets a bit of solo spotlight. It's albums like this one that made me admire A&M all along.

The Kasimoff Blüthner grand' is about all there is to recommend...

I prefer Kellaway's arranging for other peoples' albums (or song/songs) than an album of him doing this sort of thing...

Otherwise gimme something that's more "jazz"...:cool:
