Also,A KIND OF HUSH sold approximately a million copies to date.It was certified GOLD in 1976,and has sold another 500,000 copies in the 30 years since, making that album a candidate for platinum status.VOICE OF THE HEART was certified gold in 1998,but has actually sold closer to a million copies, also.MADE IN AMERICA sold approximately 500,000,enough for GOLD status.
one of the main issues with cumulative sales over several years is that sometimes record labels don't keep track of all the sales reciepts for an album over so many years.consequently, many albums that would qualify for gold or platinum status don't get certified due to the fact that the labels just don't always keep track of cumulative sales figures.
