Carpenters and the R&R Hall Of Fame

How come the duo has been passed over so many times. Who nominates the groups. There are other acts on par w/ Carpenters that are in, yet no K&R. How do we begin a grassroots effort to bring attn to this?

Sorry to say, there is no possible way the Carpenters would be elected. The hall is run by Jann Wenner, editor of Rolling Stone. He picks very eclectic, east coast bands. The fact that a band has lots of hits mean nothing. We could start a list of popular artists not in the hall and it would be staggering. But, thank God Iggy Pop is in the hall.

Soft rock acts like the Carpenters have no chance under the current management.
