Cool Pisano

Last evening, trying to mellow out from two days' turkey, I popped in my Diana Krall in Paris concert DVD. A delightful two hours in any case, but a special joy to see John Pisano on acoustic guitar backing Ms. Krall. The rest of her sidemen—John Clayton on bass fiddle, Anthony Williams on electric guitar, and Jeff Hamilton on drums—are no slouches either.

On songs like "'S Wonderful," Mr. Pisano was as wonderful as ever and seemed happy to be there. The crowd, of course, went wild.

That's a great DVD, and also Claus Ogermann was there directing some pieces. This is a must see DVD.
