Help- Artist that Sounds like Karen but Don't Know Who

Today in the gym I had to pop out my ipod and I heard a song that sounded so much like a Carps record, I was awestruck.. The lyrics included somthing like "I'm sorry I was wrong" and then "Wrapped around your finger." I thought it might be a Police remake, but the lyrics didn't seem right. And I can't find anything on Itunes. Asked a twenty something who it was, surprisingly he said "Karen Carpenter"!

Any ideas?
