Yeah, a bit hokey, and B celebrities aside from Gene Kelly. But wow, the music is really good.

Aside from being so thin, Karen looks beautiful- especially during the trio introducing the spiritual carols of the season and her close-ups.

Seeing their parents was sweet as well.

The finale of Ave Maria still gets me. Her phrasing on "no o- straaaaaa" at the end where she goes to the lower register- amazing.

Loving her voice all over again...

...back then, when I watched the show on it's original airing date I didn't think anything of Karen's weight. I was a kid yes, but never gave it a thought. I watch it every year now and even with it's cheese quotient am glad that it is there to view. Happy Holidays.
