Seeing the notice that Ahmad Jamal had died, I wanted to listen to his theme from the original soundtrack album of the movie M*A*S*H. There wasn't a very good version out there that I could find, so I dug out my old LP and needledropped it.
It's funny, I initially bought that album looking for the vocal Johnny Mandel version and was disappointed when it wasn't there. But I've grown to like Ahmad Jamal's version.
